The Month of May

The month of May has been a busy one. Moving, swimming, Lorelei's first haircut, high school graduation, and Memorial day have left us with so many memories. To start the month off, we started in a new apartment! We love this new little home! The pictures below are from moving day. It started bright and early at 6AM. We had one family show up to help us pack everything up. They were amazing. Everything was packed and ready to move within an hour.

We had a few more people able to help at the new place and by 8:15, all of our boxes were inside. The rest of the day was spent organizing and slowly putting everything in its proper place.

Lorelei's first haircut: Before and After!!

On Memorial Day, we spent the morning at Anthem Park. It is so beautiful up there. We didn't realize they were having a ceremony and a dedication of a new memorial, so we were pleasantly surprise when we got there! We enjoyed that for the first hour. Then, we headed up to the playground. Paedn has never been to the playground with Lorelei. It was so fun to watch them play with each other. After the playground, we headed to the splash pad...that scared Lorelei and she wanted nothing to do with it! Maybe next time. Our last stop was the train ride. Lorelei loved it! She kept pointing out at everything and taking in all the sights. We were going to have a picnic, but Lorelei was exhausted and we headed home. That evening we went swimming and had a BBQ with friends. What a fun day!

Lorelei decided she was strong enough to climb back up the slide.

Cheeseball! Having such a fun day.

Lorelei is learning so many new things. This past week it seems like she has been picking up new things left and right. It is just absolutely amazing to watch. It is just the little things that are so neat to see. The other day we were playing with all her toys and I asked Lorelei to go grab her horses. She looked around and spotted them across the room. She ran over to them and brought them back! She has only done that with a few things, like a ball. She can also point out her hair and her toes. We are working on teeth, nose, and fingers now. We ask her what a horse says and she blows a raspberry in response. It is adorable! Lorelei is starting to pretend!! We have play food and I have been trying to show her we actually don't bite it, we just pretend we eat it. The other day, she started to pretend to eat it and gave it a bunch of little kisses! She is a cheeseball. Whenever she does something she think is funny she tips her head up and gives us this huge smile. It happens a lot. She loves attention. She loves to play. There are so many little things like that that completely brighten my day. Again, it is just amazing to watch her understand all these things. I am completely in love with her.

A few pictures from my phone that are just too precious for words!
