Size: Diapers-3
When I took her for her 9 month check up she weighed: 16.14 (27%) and was 28 inches (66%)
Clothes: some 9 months bust mostly 12 months
Eyes: We've got a blue eyed beauty on our handsHair: So much hair! It's getting so long and still has the curl to it. It's a darker blond.
Sleeping: We had a pretty good sleep habit down but guess what?! She got sick...AGAIN!! This poor princess. But, she is feeling better and if she wakes up she will fall back asleep in minutes.Wake up time is at 7:15 exactly almost every day. Apparently I have conditioned her since I have to go to work and that's when I would wake her up!
Eating: Still drinking her formula but is WAY more interested in big girl food. When she is hungry/thirsty she will start smacking her lips together.
Milestones:
- She loves to help turn pages when we read
- Waves
- Claps
- Motions for us to "come here"
- Points
- Starting to blow kisses and high five
- Gives kisses (only when she wants to!)
- Loves food
- She has so much personality! I seriously laugh 80% of the day away with her
- Says Daddy, Mommy, and Daisy (our kitty) pretty consistently
- I can ask her "Where is Mickey?" and she will look around and squeal then crawl over to get him when she sees her Mickey Mouse stuffed animal.
- LOVES MICKEY!!!
- Very close to walking. She can do it- just chooses not to because crawling is faster and she is always going!
- Very active. Makes church a lot of fun
- Shuffles on her knees
- Walks now without having to be bribed/coaxed
- We freeze dance. She will be sitting in her high chair and I will dance and yell out, "Dance, dance, dance!" So she dances with me. When I yell, "Stop!" She stops mid air and starts giggling.
- She is a big "helper"- especially with laundry and vacuuming.
- She has an imagination. She loves to play with her toys and drive around anything that will slide on the carpet. She's great at entertaining herself.
- Crawls over/through everything! Table legs, chair legs, etc. Apparently we need a jungle gym.
- Waves at everyone in passing! It makes grocery shopping a lot of fun. We make friends.
- She helps get herself dressed. She will raise her arms and help pull the shirt over her head.
- Stands all the time. Doesn't need to pull up on anything, she will just stand.
- She follows when we point.
- She tends to eat everything she picks up, but now I can tell her to spit it out and she obeys. I was very grateful for this milestone because I was tired of getting bit.
- Has nine teeth. Almost ten!
- Is actually allowing us to cuddle more
- She meows at the cat
- Calls the chicken's at Grandma Hancock's house "bock bocks"
Funny moments:
- We were outside blowing bubbles and our cat escaped and came outside but I didn't see. Lorelei looked over, pointed, and said "Daisy! Daisy!" (Well really, she said, "day, day!")
- Everyday is full of hilarity. We laugh and play constantly. She is so much fun. She loves to make messes and get into trouble. She knows when she isn't supposed to do something. She will look at me and get this mischievous look in her eyes and start giggling.
- We love to play tag. She giggles constantly.
I cannot believe our beautiful girl is 10 months! Two more months until her first birthday?! It seems unreal. But, I still feel like she my little baby. Maybe when she starts walking constantly I will start to realize how old she is. I love her so much. Lorelei is such a light in our life. She came at the perfect moment and has been a blessing ever since. When life gets discouraging and overwhelming, I cherish those few precious moments I have when I rock her to sleep. I look at that beautiful baby in my arms and cannot believe how far I have come in life. I have a daughter. A perfect, smart, beautiful daughter. I am so lucky. I have a wonderful family!!
